Cousins at the Zoo

Tiff and I decided to take each of the girl cousin sets on little outings together this summer. It was Karla and Zoe’s turn first. We took them to Riverbanks Zoo. It was crazy hot but they had a great time. Unfortunately, as soon as we got to the splash pad area a huge thunderstorm hit. We tried waiting it out in the huge treehouse while the girls ran around in the rain. We kept checking the weather and realized it wasn’t going anywhere so we had to take a very wet walk back through the zoo to the parking lot. The girls got creative with a towel to attempt to stay a tiny bit dry. This is the 2nd time we’ve been together at the zoo and gotten completely drenched…maybe one of these days Tiff and I will learn to pack umbrellas. We had such a fun day together, despite the rain.
